Expectations of students placed within Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust
We would like to welcome you to Southern Health Foundation Trust and hope that you will enjoy a fantastic learning experience during your placement with us.
If you have any general queries about your placement arrangements please contact The Learning Environment Team at: email@example.com
It is important to understand that as a student you have a central role in maximising your learning experience during placement, taking responsibility in directing your education through interaction with relevant staff and creation of learning experience (RCN, 2007).
The Learning Environment Team has compiled a Student Induction booklet to help support students in practice. Inductions are for Nurse Students, the AHP's coming on placement will receive their induction paperwork by email.

Student Nurse Forum
This is a Teaching Session and Reflective Practice Session for ALL students nurses on a mental health placement (community or inpatient) within Southern Health Foundation Trust.
Also other divisions are starting forums but we are happy for students from OPMH or specialised services to attend until they have their own set up.
Students attending are entitled a day of working hours to attend the forum and do not need to go back to placement after the forum has finished.
Facilitators: Claire Hibberd and Gareth Williams
